有几组 OCR 字体可供使用。每个组的成员都不同，因为它们包含不同的符号集。OCR 字体的内容由其名称定义。以下是预定义 OCR 字体的名称：
名称开头是组名，如 Document 或 DotPrint，后面是 OCR 字体所含符号集的指示符。指示符的含义如下：
0-9：OCR 字体包含数字 0 至 9。
A-Z： OCR 字体包含大写字母 A 至 Z。
+：OCR 字体包含特殊字符。OCR 字体不同，特殊字符列表也略有不同。每种 OCR 字体的特殊字符列表如下。
_NoRej：OCR 字体没有拒绝类别。
_Rej：OCR 字体有拒绝类别。
如果 OCR 字体名称不包含任何上述指示符，或者后面只包含指示符 _NoRej 或 _Rej，则该 OCR 字体通常包含数字 0 至 9、大写字母 A 至 Z、小写字母 a 至 z 以及特殊字符。有些 OCR 字体不包含小写字母（如 DotPrint）。这一点在各 OCR 字体的说明中都有明确提及。
Several groups of OCR fonts are available. The members of each group differ because they contain different sets of symbols. The content of an OCR font is defined by its name. The following nomenclature is used for the names of the predefined OCR fonts:
The name starts with the group name, e.g. Document or DotPrint, followed by indicators for the set of symbols contained in the OCR font. The meaning of the indicators is as follows:
•0-9: The OCR font contains the digits 0 to 9.
•A-Z: The OCR font contains the uppercase letters A to Z.
•+ : The OCR font contains special characters. The list of special characters varies slightly depending on the OCR font. It is specified separately for each OCR font below.
•_NoRej: The OCR font has no rejection class.
•_Rej: The OCR font has a rejection class.
If the OCR font name does not contain any of the above indicators or is followed only by indicators _NoRej or _Rej, the OCR font typically contains the digits 0 through 9, the uppercase letters A through Z, the lowercase letters a through z and special characters. Some of the OCR fonts do not contain lowercase letters (e.g. DotPrint). This is explicitly mentioned in the description of the respective OCR fonts.
