In newer AS versions, error 5509 is output when the vision component is loaded for each vision application defined as compatible in a vision component.

Error behavior: This error behavior occurs when using mapp Vision TP 5.16.0 in Automation Studio 4.9.3 or higher. Any vision application defined as compatible in a vision component reports error 5509 when the vision component is loaded. The reason for this is that the internal order of execution has changed in Automation Studio. The value is loaded there first, and then the plug-in that creates the list is called. In mapp Vision 5.16.0, all vision applications that are already configured in the same vision component have been filtered out from the list of selectable vision applications.

Error correction: The vision application that is in the field for which the list of selectable vision applications is created is no longer filtered.

Workaround: There is no known workaround.

HMI

The drop-down menu for loading a vision application is not updated after changing the vision application in the mapp Vision HMI application.

Error behavior: After successfully switching between two vision applications in the mapp Vision HMI application, the drop-down menu with the upload icon sometimes shows the old vision application as still being loaded on the camera. An analysis showed that there is a race condition between updating the drop-down menu and setting the name of the currently loaded vision application.

Error correction: By preventing the race condition, the drop-down menu is now always updated correctly.

Workaround: There is no known workaround.

AS

Path lengths in the mapp Vision HMI application caused errors during build in AS.

Error behavior: A file path of the mapp Vision HMI application caused an error during AS build because it was too long.

Error correction: Internal names of pages and contents of the mapp Vision HMI application were shortened. In addition, the path configured under <Project><Settings><General><Location> is now used as a temporary directory, not the temp path of the operating system.

Workaround: Shorten the name of the Automation Studio project, configuration and/or vision component.
