Updated logbook output on the simulated target system Error behavior: When using a simulated target system, vision components reported errors because they did not find their I/O data points. Error correction: When using machine vision on simulated target systems, a warning is output issued in the logbook indicating that vision components cannot be operated. When trying to interact via function block, the vision component returns error -1045168073 (not ready for use). When the mapp Vision HMI application is connected to the vision component, only the logbook can be viewed. Workaround: There is no workaround. |

A parameter change in pending offset* values results in incorrect behavior. If Execute is executed in the event of a parameter change together with OffsetROIX/Y/Orientation != 0 values, the Execution ROI was provided incorrectly internally. Vision function "OCR": Reduction of the range of values of async "SearchAngle" parameter Vision function "OCR" allows asynchronous parameter "SearchAngle" to be entered manually. The range of values previously covered 0 to 360 degrees, in each case including the limits. The full rotation, i.e. 360 degrees, is now no longer allowed since this value in particular caused problems internally. The new (functionally identical) range of values now includes 0/100 - 35999/100 degrees. "Model ROIs" no longer continue to rotate incorrectly during additional learning procedures. Model ROIs are used to mark image surfaces for vision functions that use learning procedures, e.g. the model-based blob. These image surfaces were shifted incorrectly when using Alignment in the display, e.g. rotated several times when using the learning function with pending OffsetROIOrientation values, for example. This incorrect display is now corrected. Higher FunctionProcessingTime for VF Blob via I/O mapping than when executing the VF in the mapp Vision HMI application Error behavior: Significantly different values for FunctionProcessingTime were observed for VF Blob when executed in the mapp Vision HMI application and when executed via the I/O mapping. Error correction: The calculation of FunctionProcessingTime on the camera has been fundamentally revised. Workaround: There is no workaround. |

Updated section FAQ The FAQ for image acquisition was updated to included the longer duration of the first image acquisition and the behavior of parameter Timeout when stopping a vision function. Information about line sensor parameters (LinesensorMaxHeight) for the 1.3 MP and 5 MP sensors. The description of parameter LinesPerImage was updated to include the line sensor values for 5.3 MP sensors. VF ModelBasedBlob: Parameter Orientation is not clearly described. The description of parameter Orientation(n) parameter has been updated to include examples and graphics for the orientation of the image acquisition and the blob as well as notes on rotational symmetry. Documentation on persistence behavior of teach-in results was insufficient. Error description: It was not documented that in mapp Vision versions up to and including 5.16, the graphical markers of the results found during teach-in are not persisted over the runtime of a session, and that a new session is also started during a browser refresh. Error correction: With 5.17, the graphical markers have been revised, updated and better documented (see iconic objects). Image-specific markers such as the results of Teach and Execute are now also deleted when a new image is acquired since they are no longer valid. VF Measurement: Detailed description of angle measurement Updated sections "Measurement - Operation" and "Measurement FAQ" with information about the way angles are measured. Improved documentation about possible cause of error Error behavior: The description for vision function execution error -1044538004 was insufficient. Error correction: The information that a poor quality image can be the cause of this error has been added to the help documentation. Updated the help documentation to distinguish whether a VF is ended when several images are triggered in succession. The timing diagram and associated information boxes have been updated in section "Image acquisition". |
