In order to provide deeper understanding of the configuration processes, the list below contains information about how the mapp Vision HMI application works.
•While the camera is busy, the page is not permitted to be closed or updated via browser refresh. The mapp Vision HMI application is designed to be navigated using the buttons and drop-down boxes available in the HMI application.
•A session in the mapp Vision HMI application begins by selecting the vision component and establishing the connection ends when it is exited again. At the beginning and end of the session, the vision application defined on the vision component is loaded from the PLC to the camera. For additional information, see Saving, loading or deleting the vision application.
•Values that are entered in the HMI application for cyclic variables are only valid during the HMI session; they are not persisted by mapp Vision. The values can be set in a user application via process variables.
•The view of a vision function in the HMI application represents the camera's view of that specific vision function (VF) instance. Which information is available depends on the configuration of the vision application, however. Only the results that are wired are calculated and can be displayed in the HMI application.
•The values of inputs and outputs in the mapp Vision HMI application are updated only in the event of an image acquisition, Execute or specific commands. Specific commands include teaching-in models or applying the Execution ROI when exiting edit mode.
•Drop-down menus contain the value (in square brackets) that is present on the I/O interface for this option.
•The displayed camera image in the mapp Vision HMI application is compressed with JPEG. Image processing and configuration of the vision functions is always performed on the camera based on the uncompressed image.
•For configuration with the mapp Vision HMI application
•mapp View 5.10.1 or higher is required to use the configuration HMI application (mapp Vision HMI application).
•To use the mapp Vision HMI application, mapp View must be configured to connect to the "default OPC UA server" (see Configuring the OPC UA server connections ).
•To use the mapp Vision HMI application, "Software" must be selected in the vision application under <Image acquisition> / <Acquisition configuration> / <TriggerSource>.
•During configuration in the mapp Vision HMI application, it is strongly recommended not to operate the camera in parallel in any other way (I/O mapping, application).
•Only one session of the mapp Vision HMI application can be opened and operated per PLC.
•For the mapp Vision HMI application, mapp View settings (in file .mappviewcfg) must be set to "HTTP" or "HTTP + HTTPS" for the protocol in the server configuration, and the port number must be 81. The default settings meet these conditions.
•A B&R agent must be created for the ports used by mapp Vision, 81 and 15080, for remote maintenance via the Secure Remote Maintenance SiteManager (see SiteManager).
•The dynamic line sensor (see LinesensorMode) is not supported on the mapp Vision HMI application. The line sensor can be configured as static for the configuration, or valid values must be specified on the I/O interface (CyclicLineScanNettime and CyclicLineScanPeriod).
